Very happy

Having spent a long time trying to find a functional but not too expensive knife for everyday use I decided to jump in with both feet and buy a No. 10. Being a Yorkshireman cost, quality and function need to meet my expectation. They have with this knife. Whilst it is somewhat heavier than other knives I own it is easy to use. It splits batons and cuts feathersticks easily and has maintained a good edge for a while. It also works well with a firesteel. I was a little concerned by the canted angle of the handle but am very surprised at it's comfort. I lost quite a lot of grip following a stroke and the angle fits my hand more easily than straight handles without causing stiffness in my hand from trying to grip hard to stabilise the knife. I can highly recommend the knife.

Update to my first review. Well , have used this knife for a few months now, the curly birch handle has gone a little darker from a couple of immersions in linseed oil, the blade has done a lot of battening and shaving of fire sticks and doesn't take much work with a Gransfors sharpening stone to get a good edge again, especially after using a leather strop. I smile every time I use this knife and at this price I'm happy to use it (I haven't seen anyone using a £300+ knife yet). With a fire-steel i have no problems getting a fire started, this knife is as good as it looks. Recommend it? Yes, going to buy another next year.
very impressed

chased this after doing a lot of research and looking at various knives. It looks and feels like a lot of the very expensive knives which I suspect rarely if ever make it into the field. Its my first decent bushcraft knife, cuts well, easy to sharpen and not too heavy...time will tell but I think this will be a tool I am going to enjoy using.
